When the principals of Essex Two decided to start a family, they wanted a building that could present the same professional appearance as their previous address across the street from The Art Institute of Chicago and provide a more friendly environment in which to raise children. The work / live design developed in collaboration with the architectural firm of Wheeler Kearns helped provide a solution that was both innovative and practical.
